It was an early start to the Christmas season in Fayetteville, but  one part of the event was canceled due to technical difficulties.

There was a problem with the film’s audio

The Walton Arts Center’s screening of the holiday classic ‘The Polar Express’ was scheduled to screen Friday night, Dec. 21.

Kids and parents still wore their holiday pajamas and drank delicious hot chocolate.

“We’ve just found that this one is really popular with the whole family,” said Jill Suel, marketing director for the Walton Arts Center said earlier int he day. “It’s such a sweet story and it’s not as common on the big screen, and we do have a really big screen here at Walton Arts Center, even bigger than the movie theaters.”

Money paid for tickets is being refunded.
