This Weekend: War Eagle Mill Crafts Fair

War Eagle Mill Fall Arts and Crafts Fair is tauted one of the country.

This year features more than 20 vendors like Joy Price who’s the owner of Joy Elizabeth Ceramics.

“I sell pottery, whimsical pottery,” Price said.

She said all 400 pieces of this year’s collection were made by hand.

“I make the whole lot myself, it’s very decorated,” she described.

Price also teaches her craft to students at the Arkansas Arts Academy, she said fairs like the one at War Eagle this weekend help give her art meaning.

“I do a lot of sales online, so it makes it extra special when I get to meet the people buying my work,” Price said.

The War Eagle Mill Fair is one of three happening this weekend near the mill.

“There is so much to see, and so many things going on you’re really going to enjoy it,” Mill Team Leader Vicki Wing said.

Organizers said rain or shine they’re ready to help you find something one-of-a-kind.

“We get thousands of people that come through here, it’s a lot of fun, people are really excited about being here,” Wing said.  “Come spend the whole day with us, because you’ll need it to go through all the booths.”

Price said the atmosphere keeps her coming back for inspiration.

“This is the only outdoor show I will do actually because my work is pretty delicate, but I love it because it is just such wonderful experience to be down here at war eagle and at the mill,” Price said.
