Thousands Lose Health Insurance Coverage in Arkansas

News

The state of Arkansas has dropped nearly 17,000 people from their health insurance coverage.

This is a result of families failing to meet a new and experimental work requirement.

Governor Asa Hutchinson says, “while we’re still in the early stages of the work requirement’s implementation, we’re already seeing significant signs the program is accomplishing its intent.”

Hutchinson adds, “for those who did not comply, and as a result, lost coverage, they will have an opportunity to re-enroll in July.”
