Three Arrested in Fayetteville Food Truck Burglaries

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — After multiple food truck burglaries, Fayetteville police have arrested three suspects.

The Fayetteville Police Department said it arrested one minor, Gabriel Gass, 18, and Andres Barrett, 18, in connection with the case.

Gass and Barrett were booked into the Washington County Detention Center and face charges of commercial burglary, criminal mischief and more, an arrest report states.

On January 31, police investigated six separate food trucks at Lake Fayetteville being burglarized.

The suspects got about $350 in cash from the burglaries, and multiple food truck doors (as well as the interiors of the vehicles) were damaged.

Investigators then identified Barrett, Gass and two minors as being responsible for the incidents.

On Tuesday, police arrested Barrett on unrelated charges. An arrest report states, when speaking with police, he admitted to being involved in another commercial burglary on East Township Road with two minors but denied involvement in the food truck burglaries. He named Gass and one of the minors as suspects in the burglaries.

On Thursday, police interviewed Gass about the burglaries, and he admitted to being involved in a commercial burglary on East Township Road and the food truck burglaries, an arrest report states. He also told police the two minors and Barrett were involved in the food truck burglaries, according to authorities.

One minor involved in the burglaries has not yet been taken into custody, police said.
