LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KARK) – Three people were killed in two separate wrecks Wednesday night due to ice on roadways in Central Arkansas, according to Arkansas State Police (ASP).
The first happened just before 6:30 p.m. on Cantrell Rd. near Interstate 430.
Quinten Young, 26, was killed in that accident and another man was injured.
The ASP preliminary accident report states that the driver of a 1999 Chevrolet was headed west on Cantrell when he hit a patch of ice, crossed the median and collided with Young’s 2016 Mazda.
Another wreck happened just after 9:45 p.m. on U.S. 67/167 in Jacksonville.
The ASP preliminary accident report states the driver of a 1999 Honda hit a patch of ice, went off the road and hit a tree.
He was killed, along with his passenger, Mearlon Noah, 56, of Cabot.
