Arkansans gathered to honor fallen soldiers Tuesday.

“A Call to Honor: The Traveling Tomb of the Unknown Solider Replica” was at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, as a ceremony was held to remember the lives of lost soldiers.

This gave some the opportunity to see what the original tomb looks like if they hadn’t had the ability to see it before.

“We have been on tour visiting places all over the country, making sure that we never forget the price of our freedom, and to give people the opportunity to see the replica in hopes that if they didn’t get to see the real one, at least they will learn about it through this,” said Bill King, project manager for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The exhibition will be at the university tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event will also feature traditional acts of honor, including presentation of colors, laying of wreaths and the performance of Taps.
