Happy World Emjoi Day! The July 17 holiday was created three years ago by the founder of “Emojipedia”, a website that keeps track of all emojis. Celebrate by finding a cool emoji and sending it to your friends. You can also use #worldemojiday to share on social media. Emojis were first invented in Japan, but they spread to the U.S. after the first iPhone was released.
The entertainment world lost a pair of giants, George Romero and Martin Landau have died. Landau starred in Alfred Hitchcock’s “North by Northwest.” and the television show “Mission Impossible.” He won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Bela Lugosi in the Tim Burton film “Ed Wood.” He was 89 years old. George Romero was the creator and director of “Night of the Living Dead.” The 1968 classic black and white horror zombie film launched a genre which inspired many horror films. He was 77 years old
Winter has arrived at least for Game of Thrones fans and a bar in Washington D.C. helps fans they’re taking part in the fantasy one drink at a time. Because viewers have their allegiances to characters the bar with representations of Daenerys Targaryen, Arya for sure and Cersei to name a few. Some of the drink names, the Darkest Night and Full of Terrors, the Dothraquiri, the Lady Mormont and the North Remembers. The season 7 opener Sunday night had over 10 million viewers and at one time crashed the HBO app.
