According to a source close to the family, Joe Jackson died after a reported battle with pancreatic cancer. He launched the Jackson- family musical dynasty and initially managed the Jackson Five after they signed with Motown in 1968. The group went on to become one of the most successful R&B groups in history. Just one week before his death, his daughter Janet Jackson said, ‘My incredible father drove me to be the best I can.’ Just a few days before, Jackson tweeted, “I have seen more sunsets than I have left to see. The sun rises when the time comes and whether you like it or not the sun sets when the time comes.” Joe Jackson was 89 years old.
A popular ice cream brand is coming under fire for some questionable business practices. Some dissatisfied customers are saying ‘Halo Top’ intentionally underfills its pints. The suit goes on to state that buyers of the premium-priced ice cream have no idea how much ice cream they will get. Halo Top says it would never underfill its pints and product settling can occur from time to time due to everything from heat fluctuations to altitude changes during shipping and handling.
Meet “Elvis” the cat, a feline who certainly lives up to his namesake. The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals posted a video of him to their Facebook page where he’s showing off his dance moves. The society explained the cat’s chest and back move up and down due to a non-progressive neurological condition. The cat is up for adoption.
A future Boeing plane could fly passengers to far away places in just a few hours. Boeing has unveiled a rendering of a hypersonic passenger plane. Although it’s likely decades from being built, in theory, the hypersonic plane could fly just under 39,000 miles per hour. For example, a flight from New York to London could be cut from seven hours to as quick as two hours. Flights from Los Angeles to Tokyo from 11 hours to roughly about three hours.
