The trial for a Garland County judge in the 2015 hot car death of his son is now set for August 15.
Wade Naramore was originally set to face a jury today but some legal manuevers in the last few weeks changed that.
The new trial date was set in a morning hearing for the negligent homicide case against Naramore. A pretrial hearing was also set for July 29.
On Monday, a court filing from prosecutors revealed new information in the case.
The filing claims it was Judge Naramore’s usual routine to take his 18-month-old son Thomas to daycare just two blocks away from the courthouse.
When Naramore failed to drop off his son the last July, the prosecution says that justifies the charge filed against him, because of Naramore’s negligence.
Naramore’s attorneys say the prosecution still hasn’t met it’s burden of proof.
