Franklin County Emergency Management (FCEM) took to Facebook a post about a culvert that washed out Friday evening (May 3) around the 5100 block of West Creek Road, just south of the Gravel Road intersection.
The post read:
“This illustrates why we place so much emphasis on not crossing flooded roadways covered to unknown depths, especially at night. It is impossible to know that something like this has occurred until it is too late. Remember, if you encounter a flooded road, TURN AROUND – DON’T DROWN.”
According to FCEM the segment of the road will remain closed until repairs can be made.
