SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KFTA) — Tyson Foods held a truckload meat sale to help a local nonprofit battle food insecurity.

Folks turned out for the sale of chicken, bacon and hot dogs at a location on Don Tyson Parkway in Springdale to help out the House of Hope Rescue Mission on Thursday.

The organization’s director Carol Jenkins said a lot of good is done with the money raised at the sale, because it helps address the issue of food insecurity in the region.

“That’ll go right back into food for our Northwest Arkansas House of Hope,” Jenkins explained. “It will actually feed more hungry mouths right here in Northwest Arkansas.”

Each of box of food was sold for just $12 and the House of Hope is truly grateful for the help Tyson Foods provides.
