FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) – The University of Arkansas is hosting a free storm spotter training class on Tuesday, March 27.

Representatives from the national weather service train storm spotters on their first-hand experiences.

The class will begin at 6:30 p.m. inside room 240 of the University Police Headquarters at Razorback Road and Nettleship St.

Trained storm spotters provide severe weather reports to local officials and the National Weather Service in Tulsa. The information is used to make critical warning decisions during severe weather events.
