The University of Arkansas will host a national exhibit to raise awareness of the opioid epidemic in the United States and Arkansas starting on Wednesday, according to the news release.
The Prescribed to Death exhibit was created by the National Safety Council.
Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge; Chancellor Joseph Steinmetz; Deborah A.P. Hersman, president and CEO of the National Safety Council; Andy Agar, survivor advocate will be speaking.
The exhibit will be free to the public and will open at 1 p.m.
It will run from Oct. 3-9, and it will be held at the Arkansas Union in room 201.
