Undercover Officer Busts Walmart Robber, Police Say

VAN BUREN, Ark. (KNWA) — A man is behind bars in the River Valley after police were able to connect him to three Walmart robberies. 

Van Buren police said 44-year-old Roney Rodriguez stole property from Walmarts in Van Buren, Alma and Fort Smith dating back to May 31. 

Rodriguez was arrested when he agreed to meet up with an undercover officer and sell some of the stolen items. 

The value of the stolen property is more than $6,200. 

Rodriguez is currently being held at the Crawford County Detention Center.
