The Union Pacific Railroad is hosting a special presentation to express appreciation for those serving in the armed forces.
The recently unveiled UP1943 commemorative locomotive will formally arrive in Van Buren as it makes its maiden voyage on the UP system. Mayor Bob Freeman will lead a group of invited veterans and active duty personnel who will ride the train as the locomotive arrives to the event.
The event takes place on October 25 at 9:45 a.m. at the Union Pacific Yard Office in Van Buren.
The UP1943 will remain on-site for public viewing until 4:00 o’clock p.m. Click here for more information.
