Unofficial results say voters show favor toward sales tax in Lowell

LOWELL, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The city of Lowell held a special election today on an extension of a one percent sales tax for 108 months.

As of 7:46 p.m., unofficial results show nearly 86 percent of voters are for the measure.

The sales tax will go toward the street fund, drainage projects, and general operating expenses.
