UPDATE: All clear given at Federal Building following bomb threat

UPDATE: Police have conducted a sweep of the Federal Building and gave an all clear.

According to Sergeant Tony Murphy, no bomb or suspicious package was found.

Fayetteville police are responding to a report of a bomb threat in downtown Fayetteville.

According to Sergeant Tony Murphy, the call came from a third party at 11:44 a.m. in reference to a bomb threat at 35 E. Mountain, which is the Federal Building in Fayetteville.

Murphy said police are sweeping the building inside and out with explosive detecting dogs as a precautionary action. 

Police continue to investigate.
