UPDATE: Armed and Dangerous Double Shooting Suspect Caught


UPDATE: Since Monday night the Adair County Sheriff Office has been searching for shooting suspect Shawn Rose.

Rose, the double shooting suspect wanted out of Adair County for injuring two people, has been captured, according to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, US Marshall service, Westville Police, District 27 and Oklahoma Highway Patrol ground and air support searched in the Proctor, Okla. area. 

Rose was caught around 7:50 pm Wednesday after he was found near Highway 62 in a culvert. 


Adair County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for a suspect in a double shooting

According to Adair County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Shawn Claude Rose is a suspect in a shooting that occurred in Christie, Oklahoma at 8:15 p.m. on Monday.

The two victims in the shooting had left the scene but later received medical care. Both are in stable condition.

A warrant has been issued for two counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon. Rose is considered armed and dangerous.
