The armed and dangerous suspect who eluded Johnson County authorities throughout Thursday has been captured.
Johnson County Sheriff Larry Jones said that Levi Renken has been arrested.
Deputies pursued Renken for over 12 hours. Renken fired several shots at deputies during the chase that spanned multiple counties.
Renken was captured after he abandoned his vehicle and fled into the woods on foot.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has revealed the identity of the armed and dangerous man.
Levi Renken is wanted by police after being involved in a pursuit Thursday morning, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
Renken is still at large, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Highway 103 near Batson is now open according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO). Deputies warn do not pick up anyone walking along the road in the Batson area.
Johnson County Sheriff’s Office along with several other agencies are looking for an armed and dangerous man Thursday morning.
The manhunt is happening around 103 N and Batson Road area in Johnson County.
Highway 103 is currently blocked as the manhunt is underway.
The suspect is described as a white man who was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.
The suspect was involved in a pursuit where shots were fired, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Officials from the Sheriff’s Office are asking people to keep their doors and vehicles locked.
