UPDATE: The Washington County Coroner's Office identified the man recently killed on University of Arkansas-owned property.
George Irving Morrison, 51, of Mountainburg was identified as the man killed on University of Arkansas-owned land that serves as serves as a homeless camp area near Seven Hills Homeless Center off of South School Avenue and West 19th Street.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) -- University of Arkansas police are investigating a homicide.
The homicide occurred in the university-owned property that serves as a homeless camp area near Seven Hills Homeless Center off of South School Avenue and West 19th Street.
Police identified the deceased as an adult male, but his age was not given, nor was his cause of death.
No one is currently in custody in connection with the homicide.
The deceased man's name has not been released.
Police were contacted at 12:16 a.m. Thursday.
U of A Police Capt. Gary Crain said the deceased is neither a student nor faculty member.
