UPDATE: Missing Pocola Woman Found in Fort Smith

UPDATE: A missing Pocola woman has been found.

Connie Sue Ritter, 20, was found in the area of Albert Pike and Grand Avenue in Fort Smith, according to Capt. Philip Pevehouse, public information officer for the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities received a call from a concerned citizen who reported seeing Ritter in the area of Albert Pike and Grand at around 1:30 p.m. after having seen a media post about Ritter going missing.

Sebastian County investigators and Fort Smith police officers traveled to the area and after a short search located Ritter.

The Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help in searching for a woman from Pocola, Oklahoma.

According to a news release, Connie Sue Ritter, 20, has not been heard from since November 29, 2018.

Ritter’s mother believes her daughter may be somewhere in Sebastian County. Her mother believed she might be staying with folks in Fort Smith.

Ritter has lived with her mother in Pocola and says she is not always home. However, the mother said that Ritter would call every couple of day to check in.

The family has been seeking Ritter but to no avail.

Sebastian County investigators are concerned for her safety and well-being after following up on several leads.
