UPDATE: Police Are Searching For Armed and Dangerous Man in Madison County

UPDATE:

MADISON COUNTY, Ark. -- According to the Madison County Sheriff's Office, on Monday, April 23, around 7:09 a.m. Garrett's cabin was on fire with no one inside. 

A report was made, around 9:31 a.m., of a white man matching Garrett's description to the East on County Rd. 2404 and 2600 about half a mile from Garrett's cabin, according to police. 

Police say the suspect was wearing a trench coat, boots and a cowboy hat. 

Garrett is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and 170 pounds with brown eyes and shaggy blonde hair.

Police say he is considered armed and dangerous.

MADISON COUNTY, Ark. -- Madison County Sheriff's Office is searching for an armed and dangerous man.

Teral Garrett, 59, fled into a wooded area after officers showed up to the scene of Garrett pointing a shotgun at a neighbor near Highway 74 East. 

A K-9 team was deployed but unable to locate him.

Garrett is wanted on suspicion felony aggravated assault, terroristic threatening and possession of firearms by certain persons.

In 1997, Garrett was found guilty of 2nd Degree Murder and was sentenced to 30 years in jail but it is unknown how long he served.

He is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and 170 pounds.

Garrett was last seen on Monday exiting the woods at the intersection of Madison 2405 and Madison 2600 but disappeared again.
