RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (KARK) - An Arkansas Silver Alert that had been issued for a missing Russellville couple has been inactivated after the pair was involved in a fatal wreck.
Lee and Elizabeth Hopkins wrecked Tuesday on Highway 7 near Dover.
Arkansas State Police say Elizabeth, 90, was killed in the rollover crash. Lee, 87, was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
The Silver Alert was issued Monday after Mr. Hopkins checked his wife out of an assisted living center for breakfast. The release said both suffered from medical issues.
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) -- The Russellville Police Department has requested a Silver Alert for a missing elderly couple.
Lee R. Hopkins, 87, and Elizabeth Hopkins, 90, went missing at 7:20 a.m. on Sunday.
They were last known to be at 204 South Inglewood in Russellville.
The report states that they do not know what they were wearing when they went missing but may be traveling in a 2018 red Buick Encore with Arkansas license plate USAJYZO.
Lee Hopkins is a white male, with blonde blading hair and blue eyes. He is 5'06' tall and weighs about 160 pounds.
Elizabeth Hopkins is a white woman, with short white and grey hair and blue eyes. She is 5'02' tall and weighs about 135 pounds.
