UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Oklahoma Following Early Morning Shooting in Fayetteville


UPDATE: Fayetteville police said the victim in an early shooting has been identified as Tyler Wayne Yeakley, 31.  He suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to a local medical facility,

A suspect was arrested in Oklahoma following the Fayetteville shooting on Wednesday, February 27.

Sequoyah County Sheriff Larry Lane said Lee Massey, 29, was arrested in Moffett, Oklahoma. 

Massey was arrested for felony battery first-degree 

Sheriff Lane says a School Resource Officer from Moffett knew Massey and had him in custody shortly thereafter.

The Fayetteville Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 27.

According to Fayetteville Police Facebook page, the shooting happened at 1750 W. Bedford Loop.

There is one reported victim who was transported to a local medical facility.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time. The investigation is on-going.
