UPDATE: Two men are accused of an aggravated robbery in which a Fort Smith cab driver was shot at least once in the head.
Keithan Norris, 19, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree battery and felony possession of a firearm, and Norman Massey, 20, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree battery, according to Aric Mitchell, public information officer for the Fort Smith Police Department.
The man who was shot was treated at a local hospital before being transferred to a medical facility outside of the area.
“His injuries, while serious, are not believed to be life-threatening,” Mitchell said.
Mitchell said additional charges are possible as the investigation continues.
Fort Smith Police are investigating an aggravated robbery where a cab driver was shot at least once in the head.
According to Public Information Officer Aric Mitchell, the shooting occurred around 11 p.m. on Tuesday night near the intersection of Musset and Newlon roads in Fort Smith.
Mitchell says the cab driver was shot twice, one of which was in the head.
The cab driver was treated at a local hospital with serious injuries. The injuries are considered non-life threatening.
