UPDATE: Woman Accused of Murder in Crawford County Released on Bond

UPDATE: Miranda Resiños, the 36-year-old woman accused of murdering a man in Crawford County, was released from the Crawford County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond Thursday.
Resiños is accused of fatally shooting 39-year-old Kevin Gettridge.
Resiños told authorities that she shot Gettridge after he lunged at her and that there was a history of domestic abuse.


More details have been released about the shooting death of a Fort Smith man and the woman arrested in connection to the case.

Miranda Resiños, 36, told deputies there was a history of domestic violence with the man who was shot, 39-year-old Kevin Gettridge, according to an affidavit.

Resiños added that her brother had given her a firearm after the last violent incident with Gettridge. 

Deputies were called to the 1400 block of Sunnyside Road between Van Buren and Alma on March 1.

Resiños told deputies she shot Gettridge once in the chest after he lunged at her. 

Resiños was booked into the Crawford County Detention Center on a first-degree murder charge.
