VA Hosts 6th Annual VA2K to Support Homeless Veterans

The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks (VHSO) is holding its annual VA2K Walk and Roll on May 18 at 10 a.m.

The event will be held at the VHSO’s Medical Center in Fayetteville located at 1100 N. College Ave.

The VA2K’s mission is to encourage healthy activity while supporting homeless Veterans with donated items. 

University of Arkansas Men’s Track Coach John Bucknam will be the guest speaker and honorary chairman.

The walk is free and open to the public. Instead of a registration fee, participants ar encouraged to bring a donation for the VHSO’s Homeless Veteran’s Program.

Donation items needed are:

  • Bug spray
  • Deodorant
  • Detergent
  • Toilet Paper
  • Paper Towels
  • Diapers
  • Cleaning Supplies
  • Sunscreen
  • Paper plates
  • Plastic Utensils

Donations are not required to participate in the event.
