Voter Turn Out in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA)–Washington County Coordinator Jennifer Price said throughout the day her team saw a pretty decent voter turnout.
Polls opened at 7:30 this morning and Price reports 18,158 ballots were cast as of 3 p.m.
In the last midterm election in 2014, there was a 47 percent voter turn out, which Price expects to match this year.
Multiple polling locations in Washington County said they saw a spike Tuesday morning right when the voting locations opened, and again around lunch time.
Officials said for the most part everything ran smoothly, and they did not have any more ballot issues.
Voting ended at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
