WalletHub has released a report on the best and worst college towns in America.
The top five locations are Austin, Texas; Orlando, Florida; Ann Arbor, Michigan; Provo, Utah; and Rexburg, Idaho.
Fayetteville ranked 41, Conway ranked 171, Jonesboro at 211, and Little Rock was 324.
Fayetteville’s “friendliness” was 47, its “social environment” was 144, and “economic opportunities” rank was 163.
The cities were grouped by size and 30 indicators were used including academic, social and economic growth potential, cost of living, quality of higher education to the crime rate.
WalletHub’s purpose of the report is to help college-bound students determine which city or town best suits their budget.
The cost-of-living fees per year is a bit more than $26,000, according to WalletHub.
