Walmart Assists with $2.5 Million to Help with Hurricane Michael Relief

Walmart, Sam’s Club, Walmart Foundation and Foundation for the Carolinas are committing to giving $2.5 million in support for Hurricane Michael relief and recovery.

Walmart, Sam’s Club, and the Walmart Foundation will give $1.5 million.

The Walmart 2018 Hurricane Relief Fund held at Foundation For The Carolinas will give $1 million in support of the Red Cross.

“Our friends and family in the Florida Panhandle are experiencing tremendous loss as a result of this catastrophic storm,” said Dan Bartlett, executive vice president of corporate affairs for Walmart. “We are actively supporting local relief efforts and will continue to help communities as they recover.”  

This commitment will support organizations like the American Red Cross, Salvation Army and Convoy of Hope, according to the news release.
