Five more Northwest Arkansas locations have been added to Walmart’s online grocery pickup test. The new locations will open on Wednesday, September 23.
More than 30,000 items can be purchased through the online pickup system, including produce, meat, seafood, dairy, bakery, health and beauty products.
Here’s how it works: customers order online and schedule a pickup time. At the appointed time, they park in designated parking spots at the pickup spot and Walmart staff deliver the materials to the car.
Walmart’s move is part of a push to expand e-commerce profit. You can read a Nielson Company report here on consumers and the future of grocery e-commerce.
