Walmart Hosts “Girls Who Code” Event


FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Four hundred middle school girls gathered Wednesday to discuss the importance of working in the technology field.

Walmart hosted the event with the founder of “Girls Who Code.” It’s a nonprofit organization focused on closing the gender gap in technology.

Walmart also announced a contribution to help support the opening of 2,600 additional Girls Who Code clubs in the U.S. by 2018.
