FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Walmart associates close off their time in Northwest Arkansas with their annual Friday celebration at Bud Walton Arena.
Shania Twain kicked off the celebration! Comedian Kevin Hart is hosting the event.
John Legend gave his all in a performance to Walmart associates. Chris Hemsworth joins in on the fun! Another Marvel Hero comes to the stage, Chris Evans! Snoop Dogg brought the vibes with his performance. Tom Cruise joins in virtually. Pitbull closes the show!
Walmart leaders also gave an update on company news and celebrated associates who had gone the extra mile in helping customers. The retail giant announced it made $125 billion in revenue these past 3 years and has had an annual growth rate of 8%.
Walmart CEO Doug McMillon also highlighted the role technology continues to play in stores and the shopping experience.
“In India, Canada, and the US they can use their voice to shop, they can shop us through social media and we’ve begun to take Walmart to the most popular worlds in the metaverse,” McMillon said.
The celebration brings close to 10,000 Walmart investors and employees to Northwest Arkansas from all around the world.
