Walmart Pickup Towers Coming to More Than 100 Stores

News

The world’s largest retailer is expanding its self service pickup option.

Walmart will install pack robot pickup towers in about 100 additional U.S. stores.

The Supercenter in Rogers was the first U.S. store to feature the large, orange tower.

They work like vending machines, dispensing merchandise for customers who have placed orders online.

A spokesperson for the company provided Fox 24 with a statement on the expansion, which reads in part, “our pickup towers are the latest example of how we’re using new technology to save our customers time in addition to money.”

All of the new locations have not yet been revealed, but we do know stores in Oklahoma, Arizona, and Alabama will receive pickup towers.
