Washington County Jailer Out on Bond After Sneaking Contraband to Inmate

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA) — A Washington County jailer who snuck contraband to an inmate is out on a $2500 bond.

21-year-old Dylan Simpson was released from the Washington County Detention Center at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 5.

Simpson is charged with furnishing prohibited articles after admitting to giving an inmate a cellphone and batteries on two separate dates. 

Deputies located the contraband during a search of the inmate’s bunk. 

Simpson’s next court date is set for Thursday, February 14.
