A swearing-in ceremony was held Wednesday morning for new and returning officials in Washington County.
The event was held in the Washington County Quorum Courtroom, and the officials there say they hope to bring change which will positively affect the community moving forward.
“It’s a good blend. The county is about to see something different and new, because you have a number of new elected officials… new mayors out there in the county,” said Washington County Judge Joseph Wood.
Elected officials said they plan to put their focus on the the jail expansion, maintaining infrastructure, such as roads and bridges, and public safety.
