BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — When many people think of girls in the Scouts, they think of cookies and green sashes.

But in 2017, the Boy Scouts of America announced programs to allow girls into single-gender BSA troops.

KNWA/FOX24’s photojournalist Ethan Sam caught up with one of those troops on a recent camping trip to see what the Scout experience is like for these young women.
