Trafalgar Road will be one-way traffic only starting Wednesday, with flaggers guiding drivers through the work zone.
The road will be closed entirely Thursday morning to traffic between Commonwealth Road and Kingsland Road, according to a news release from Cassi Lapp, Bella Vista communications manager.
The full street closure is planned to last most of the day on Thursday, but should be opened to the public sometime in the afternoon, the news release states.
The road is closing to accommodate an 8-inch water line to be installed by the Bella Vista Property Owners Association Water Department, according to the news release.
This pipe line installation will provide water to the former stump dump site, the news release states.
The work is being done at the request of the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), the agency that is overseeing the plan to suppress the Trafalgar Road fire.
This is a planned street closure, and weather and other circumstances could postpone this activity to a later date and time.
