Precautionary boil order issued for Garfield

UPDATE: GARFIELD, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Dept. of Health issued a precautionary “boil water” notice due to the water main break.

The notice has been issued for the following areas of Garfield east of Wimpy Jones Road and north of Highway 62.

All affected residents are advised to boil water for one minute before drinking or cooking.

All ice cubes should be thrown away and only boiled water should be used for ice-making.

UPDATE: Official said the source of the leak has been found.

GARFIELD, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A water tank in Garfield is losing water and will be out of water soon.

The City of Garfield said in a Facebook post, crews are working on the problem right now, but it needs everyone to conserve water as much as possible until the problem is fixed.
