SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. (KFTA) — Siloam Springs voters will decide whether to pay for a water treatment plant upgrade.
Residents will have the option to either extend the existing 5/8 of a cent sales tax or increase the water rates by fifty percent.
The upgrades to the water treatment facility will cost around $31 million.
Improvements are needed to increase the efficiency in the water treatment process as the current equipment is between 25 and 60 years old.
