Weather Blog: Mostly Cloudy with Slight Chances of Rain

We’ll see clouds increasing over Northwest Arkansas, it will be a breezy day and the highs will be milder in the 60s.

There is a slight chance for a shower around midday as the thickness clouds pass over, otherwise, chances are very slight for showers.

Clouds increase overnight with a milder night in store.  The lows will be in the 40s.

On Friday, Northwest Arkansas will be in the milder air while thunderstorms develop over River Valley areas.

The system causing those storms will lift slowly toward Northwest Arkansas through the afternoon hours.

Our rain chances will increase through the day, and there is a possibility of a strong thunderstorm with wind and some large hail.

The good news about this weather system is that it now appears that most, if not all, the precipitation move out by midnight before the coldest air settles in.

Saturday will be cold with moderate temperatures by Sunday.

Another freeze is coming over the weekend so keep those plant covers ready.
