This picture is of Fay Jones and Jim Reed accepting the first of many awards to come for Thorncrown Chapel. It was the 1981 American Institute of Architects National Honor Award. It’s the only award that Jim Reed would be able to enjoy. He passed away in 1985, five years after the Chapel was built.
