The labor participation rate in the Natural State is just over 58 percent, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. As seen in the graph below, labor participation for those around retirement age is close to 70 percent. After the age of 65, those numbers fall off, showing fewer seniors in the job market while many are still looking for a work.
