Three council members call a special meeting, Friday.
The purpose was to declare the mayor’s position vacant, appoint an interim mayor and call for a special election to fill the vacancy.
Four people have voiced interest in the interim position are Heath Caudle, Misty Caudle, John Collins and Mike Nelson.
“We got to hear the three people that are currently on council, put forth their case on why they’d be a servant for the city of West Fork”, City Councilman Joe Toher said, “Afterwards, what happened was the public was invited to express their concerns and express their opinions.
Toher said at the next meeting, an interim mayor will be picked.
