BROOKLYN – With the news of Mollie Tibbetts’ body possibly found on Tuesday, Local 5 wanted to outline the timeline of the 20-year-old’s disappearance.
Here is what we know:
July 18: Mollie Tibbetts was last seen on her running route in Brooklyn at night.
July 19-21: Dozens of officials, friends, and family of Mollie look for the missing woman in Brooklyn, combing corn fields and going over her running route.
July 25: Investigators receive a search warrant for Mollie’s Fitbit.
July 26: Investigators search a hog confinement and farm near Guernsey.
August 2: A reward fund through Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa was set up for finding Mollie alive. Thousands of dollars and tips poured in to help find Mollie.
August 10: Mollie’s father, Rob Tibbetts, handed out fliers at the Iowa State Fair in hopes someone who saw Mollie or knows anything about Mollie’s disappearance will bring in tips.
August 18: Rob Tibbetts flies home to California.
