The Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County welcomed Congressman Steve Womack Thursday.
Womack visited the facility to check on its latest expansion.
The purpose of the center is to provide a safe place for child abuse victims and their families.
“My mission here today is to see what they’re doing [and get a] firsthand look at the expansion and how they’ve matured as a facility over time, and then go back to Washington and do what I can to advocate for facilities like this that are doing what I call the Lord’s work,” Womack said.
Natalie Tibbs is the executive director of the Children’s Advocacy Center, and said that Womack has been a strong supporter of the facility since he was mayor of Rogers.
