A local school is celebrating its eighth annual World Culture Festival.

Every year, students from Owl Creek Elementary School in Fayetteville get to see exhibits of different cultures from countries around the world and sample different types of food.

“We were recognized as the third most diverse school in Arkansas, and over the 12 years of our school being open, we’ve had over 70 different countries represented in our student population,” said Brandon Craft, Owl Creek principal.

More than 600 students and their parents attended the event last year.
