The men and women of the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office are doing what they can to help folks impacted by the historic flooding across their area.
Marked patrol units are keeping a “constant and consistent” presence in the Lavaca/Central City area, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
“Also, marked patrol units will be in the flooded areas of Fort Smith assisting Fort Smith PD and assisting with large traffic counts on roadways because of detours,” the news release states.
The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will support emergency operations by providing extra patrol units, watercraft and helping with any other assigned tasks.
The Sheriff’s Office will continue their law enforcement efforts as well.
