Arkansas Baseball is SUPER Once Again

For the second straight year, Arkansas is heading to the NCAA Super Regionals.

The Razorbacks wasting no time on Sunday getting the offense going, Dominic Fletcher and Jake Kenley with RBI doubles in the bottom of the first to give Arkansas a 3-0 lead.

Later in the 5th, designated hitter Matt Goodheart rocked one over the wall in right center for a two run home run, extending the Hogs lead to 5.

Kenley drove in another run in the bottom of the 8th with an RBI single up the middle to give Arkansas a 6-0 lead.

Freshman pitcher Patrick Wicklander getting his first taste of NCAA Regionals action Sunday. After averaging only 3.1 innings in his previous three starts, Wicklander was dialed in going 5 innings and giving up 3 hits, no runs, and striking out 7. Cody Scroggins came in in relief in the 6th going 2.2 innings, giving up 2 hits and striking out 4. Jacob Kostyshock came in to finish the rest of the 8th and close out the game.

The Super Regionals will be held at Baum-Walker Stadium this upcoming weekend. Exact time and dates are TBA. They will play the winner of the Oxford Regional.
