Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Blackman cornerback Adonis Otey will not visit Ole Miss as planned.
Instead, Otey, 5-11, 180, will now choose between the Razorbacks and USC. He committed to the Hogs on Oct. 1, but chose not to sign early. He took an official visit to USC last weekend.
Otey had considered a visit to Oxford this weekend to see Ole Miss, but then decided against it. It appears to be a very close battle between the Trojans and Hogs.
As a senior, Otey spent much of his time on offense. Otey completed 8 of 14 passes for 65 yards and a touchdown while also rushing 65 times for 667 yards and eight touchdowns. He also caught 13 passes for 380 yards and five touchdowns. He returned five kickoffs for 46 yards and three punts for 105. In limited duty on defense, Otey had five tackles and an interception.
The Trojans signed two cornerbacks and a safety during the early signing period. They also have a commitment from a cornerback as well as a safety. Arkansas signed three cornerbacks early and has a commitment from a safety.
Otey’s teammate at Blackman, wide receiver Trey Knox, is enrolled in classes at Arkansas and set to go through spring drills.
